Most enterprises in Kunshan Tourist Resort are concentrated in the manufacturing of metal, plastic and other materials, as well as mechanical manufacturing. Nanjing University of Information Engineering is a national "Double First Class" construction university and a key supporting university for the construction of high-level universities in Jiangsu. Its School of Chemistry and Materials has two undergraduate majors, Materials Physics and Applied Chemistry. In 2021, both Chemistry and Materials Science disciplines entered the top 1% of the ESI discipline rankings in the world, and Materials Physics was selected as a national first-class undergraduate major. Lvdu District plans to establish the Kunshan Tourism Resort New Energy and New Materials Innovation Cooperation Platform on May 22, 2023, relying on the deep scientific research foundation of the School of Chemistry and Materials at Nanxin University. Through the linkage of the government, universities, and enterprises, it will accelerate the promotion of industry university research cooperation, achieve product performance improvement, and help enterprises improve market competitiveness. At the same time, it will accelerate the pace of attracting business and talent, and fully promote the industry in our district to move towards the high-end of the value chain.

In order to operate the platform more realistically and effectively, a team of PhD students in materials science who are familiar with both the profession and the market and operations, as well as senior directors or engineers with rich experience in enterprise management and research and development, is one of the few industry-university research and application teams in China composed of professional PhD students, engineers, and entrepreneurs. Focusing on information resource connection, enterprise "bottleneck" technology or new product needs, talent cultivation, To address issues such as the landing of high-tech projects, we will engage in information exchange with experts and scholars from both domestic and foreign fields through the platform, forming a one-stop material diagnosis service that integrates product diagnosis, research and development, new product development, and sales. We will provide targeted solutions to solve various difficulties in product materials and accelerate the promotion of innovation and research and development capabilities of domestic enterprises.
